Once a person begins to be involved with someone they care for, if they feel safe and intimate, sexual arousal is a natural result.
If something interferes with the arousal, the root cause of that interference may be medical/physical,the side-effects of medication, fears from past trauma, relational, or due to pain or discomfort.
At MTI, we first assess the contributing factors. If necessary, we will bring in medical consult, which is sometimes useful as part of the treatment process.
